having known this, that for a righteous man law is not set, but for lawless and insubordinate persons, ungodly and sinners, impious and profane, parricides and matricides, men-slayers, whoremongers, sodomites, men-stealers, liars, perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that to sound doctrine is adverse, according to the good news of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.

Against a profane nation I send him, And concerning a people of My wrath I charge him, To spoil spoil, and to seize prey, And to make it a treading-place as the clay of out places. And he -- he thinketh not so, And his heart reckoneth not so, For -- to destroy is in his heart, And to cut off nations not a few.

Afraid in Zion have been sinners, Seized hath trembling the profane: Who doth dwell for us -- consuming fire, Who doth dwell for us -- burnings of the age?

for revealed is the wrath of God from heaven upon all impiety and unrighteousness of men, holding down the truth in unrighteousness.

and the present heavens and the earth, by the same word are treasured, for fire being kept to a day of judgment and destruction of the impious men.

For what is the hope of the profane, When He doth cut off? When God doth cast off his soul?

If the scorners He doth scorn, Yet to the humble He doth give grace.

And if the righteous man is scarcely saved, the ungodly and sinner -- where shall he appear?

For the saving grace of God was manifested to all men, teaching us, that denying the impiety and the worldly desires, soberly and righteously and piously we may live in the present age,

Dare any one of you, having a matter with the other, go to be judged before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

O the happiness of that one, who Hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked. And in the way of sinners hath not stood, And in the seat of scorners hath not sat;

and the profane vain talkings stand aloof from, for to more impiety they will advance,

and the profane and old women's fables reject thou, and exercise thyself unto piety,

O Timotheus, the thing entrusted guard thou, avoiding the profane vain-words and opposition of the falsely-named knowledge, which certain professing -- concerning the faith did swerve; the grace is with you. Amen.
