For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

Therefore pride surrounds them as a chain; violence covers them as a garment.

And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

Destroy, O Lord, and confuse their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.

And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return.

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

For her rich men are full of violence, and her inhabitants have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.

They have grown fat, they shine: yea, they pass over the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not defend.

For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

Because the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

By which are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. For a good tree brings not forth corrupt fruit; neither does a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a muddied fountain, and a polluted spring.

Be not deceived: evil companions corrupt good morals.

Whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. And now, O you priests, this commandment is for you.
