Jesus said to them: You know not what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and to be immersed with the immersion with which I am immersed? They said to him: "We are able. Jesus said to them: You shall drink the cup that I drink, and you shall be immersed with the immersion with which I am immersed.
Then Jesus said to Peter: Put up your sword into its scabbard. Shall I not drink the cup that my Father has given me?
Jesus answered and said to her: "Whoever drinks of this water, will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him, shall never thirst. But the water that I will give him, shall be in him a fountain of water springing up in order to eternal life.

And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying: Do you all drink of it: for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many in order to the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, till that day when I drink it with you new in the kingdom of my Father.
And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them; and they all drank of it. And he said to them: This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many. Verily I say to you, I shall drink no more of the fruit of the vine, till that day when I shall drink it new in the kingdom of God.
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said: Take this, and divide it among yourselves; for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine till the kingdom of God has come.
In like manner also, the cup, after he had supped, saying: This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.
