Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in the Lord.

For our exhortation was not from delusion, nor from impurity, nor in guile: but as we were approved of God that the gospel should be intrusted unto us, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God who is proving our hearts,

Finally therefore, brethren, we pray you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how it behooves you to walk about and to please God, as you do indeed walk about, in order that you may abound more and more.
