'Shall' in the Bible
Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan, for it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God and serve only him.'"
"But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces who call out to one another,
And he said to him, " 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
And the second [is] like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
And you shall love the Lord your God from your whole heart and from your whole soul and from your whole mind and from your whole strength.'
The second [is] this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
And Jesus answered [and] said to him, "It is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.'"
"To what then shall I compare the people of this generation, and what are they like?
And he answered [and] said, "You shall love the Lord your God from all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself."
Therefore he said, "What is the kingdom of God like, and to what shall I compare it?
And again he said, "To what shall I compare the kingdom of God?
So they said to him, "What shall we do that we can accomplish the works of God?"
"Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, deliver me from this hour'? But for this [reason] I have come to this hour!
So Jesus said to Peter, "Put the sword into [its] sheath! The cup that the Father has given me--shall I not drink it?"
Then those shouted, "Away [with him]! Away [with him]! Crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your king?" The chief priests replied, "We do not have a king except Caesar!"
But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? God, who inflicts wrath, [is] not unjust, [is he]? (I am speaking according to a human perspective.)
What then shall we say [that] Abraham, our ancestor according to the flesh, has found?
What therefore shall we say? Shall we continue in sin, in order that grace may increase?
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
What then shall we say? [Is] the law sin? May it never be! But I would not have known sin except through the law, for I would not have known covetousness if the law had not said, "Do not covet."
What then shall we say about these [things]? If God [is] for us, who [can be] against us?
What then shall we say? [There is] no injustice with God, [is there]? May it never be!
What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness--even the righteousness [that is] by faith.
For the [commandments], "You shall not commit adultery, you shall not commit murder, you shall not steal, you shall not covet," and if [there is] any other commandment, are summed up in this statement: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or with love and a spirit of gentleness?
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Therefore, shall I take away the members of Christ [and] make [them] members of a prostitute? May it never be!
For do you not have houses for eating and drinking? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who do not have [anything]? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this I will not praise [you]!
For the whole law is fulfilled in one statement, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, and Samuel and the prophets,
However, if you carry out the royal law according to the scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing well.
