Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?
He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,
“You are Simon the son of (which is translated John; you shall be called Cephas” Peter).
He appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen.
While they were telling these things,
He Himself stood in their midst and *said to them, “Peace be to you.”
So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for
fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and *said to them, “ Peace be with you.”
until the day when He
was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen.
not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead.
But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.”
