Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
He appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen.
While they were telling these things,
He Himself stood in their midst and *said to them, “Peace be to you.”

He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus *came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “ Peace be with you.”
When I entered the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah, son of Mehetabel,
who was confined at home, he said, “Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us close the doors of the temple, for they are coming to kill you, and they are coming to kill you at night.”
After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.
Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”
