Samuel Announces The Downfall Of Saul

²³ The sin of divination is rebellion. Wickedness and idolatry are arrogance. They are evil. Because you rejected the word of Jehovah, he rejects you as king. ²⁴ Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned; I have indeed transgressed the command of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and listened to their voice. ²⁵ But now I beg you, forgive my sin and return with me, so that I can worship Jehovah.
