Jonathan Intercedes For David

6 Jonathan convinced Saul, so Saul made a vow in Jehovah's name that he would not kill David. 7 Then Jonathan called David, and Jonathan told him all these words. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence as formerly. 8 Then there was a war with the Philistines. David fought hard and forced them to retreat.
