Instructions To Pray For All People
1 First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings should be offered for every one,

Instructions To Men And Women
8 My desire, then, is that it should be the custom everywhere for the men to lead the prayers, with hands reverently uplifted, avoiding heated controversy.

Instructions For Women
9 I also desire that women should adorn themselves with appropriate dress, worn quietly and modestly, and not with wreaths or gold ornaments for the hair, or pearls, or costly clothing,
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
9 Likewise, I want (U)women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, (g)modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments,
9 Also, the women are to dress themselves in modest clothing,(O) with decency and good sense, not with elaborate hairstyles, gold,(P) pearls, or expensive apparel,
9 Women, for their part, should display their beauty by dressing modestly and decently in appropriate clothes, not with elaborate hairstyles or by wearing gold, pearls, or expensive clothes,
10 but--as is proper for women who profess to be religious--with good actions.
