Now a Jew named
Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures.
1 Corinthians 1:12
Now I mean this, that
each one of you is saying, “I am of Paul,” and “I of Apollos,” and “I of Cephas,” and “I of Christ.”

one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not mere men?

Apollos our brother, I encouraged him greatly to come to you with the brethren; and it was not at all his desire to come now, but he will come when he has opportunity.
And having spent some time there, he left and passed successively through the
Galatian region and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.
They came to
Ephesus, and he left them there. Now he himself entered the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews.
