Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
Saul was in hearty agreement with putting him to death.And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.
Now the apostles and
the brethren who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
When they arrived at Jerusalem, they were received by the church and
the apostles and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them.
1 Thessalonians 3:2
and we sent
Timothy, our brother and God’s fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you as to your faith,
So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand
Now these were more noble-minded than those in
Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.”
He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.
1 Thessalonians 2:13
For this reason we also constantly
thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.
2 Thessalonians 2:10
