Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
He shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel, you are approaching the battle against your enemies today. Do not be fainthearted.
Do not be afraid, or panic, or tremble before them,
Though youths grow weary and tired,
young men stumble badly,
In that day it will be said to Jerusalem:
Do not be afraid, O Zion; Do not let your hands fall limp.
strengthening the souls of
the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, “ Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.”
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
2 Thessalonians 3:13
But as for you,
brethren, do not grow weary of doing good.
consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
For this reason I, Paul,
the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—
2 Corinthians 1:6
But if we are afflicted, it is
for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is effective in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer;
Now I want you to know, brethren, that my circumstances
have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel,
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions.
