Yahweh Provides Food In The Desert

³³ Moses said to Aaron, "Take a jar and put in it an omer full of manna, and place it before the Lord to be kept for generations to come." ³⁴ Just as the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron placed it before the Testimony for safekeeping. ³⁵ Now the Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a land that was inhabited; they ate manna until they came to the border of the land of Canaan.

Exodus 25:16

You are to put into the ark the testimony that I will give to you.

Exodus 25:21

You are to put the atonement lid on top of the ark, and in the ark you are to put the testimony I am giving you.

In the tent of meeting outside the curtain that is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons are to arrange it from evening to morning before the Lord. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for generations to come.

1 Kings 8:9

There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets Moses had placed there in Horeb. It was there that the Lord made an agreement with the Israelites after he brought them out of the land of Egypt.
