1 Thou thyself, therefore bring near unto thee - Aaron thy brother and his sons with him out of the midst of the sons of Israel, that they may minister as priests unto me, - Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar sons of Aaron.

3 Thou thyself, therefore, shalt speak unto all the wise-hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, - and they shall make Aaron's garments, to hallow him for ministering as priest unto me.
3 You shall speak to all the (a)(D)skillful persons (E)whom I have endowed with (b)the spirit of wisdom, that they make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister as priest to Me.
3 And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
3 You are to instruct all the skilled craftsmen,(a)(C) whom I have filled with a spirit of wisdom, to make Aaron’s garments for consecrating him to serve Me as priest.
3 You are to speak to all who are skilled, whom I've endowed with talent, that they should make Aaron's garments for consecrating him to serve me as priest.
4 These, therefore are the garments which they shall make - a breastpiece, and an ephod and a robe, and a tunic of checker work, a turban and a girdle, - so shall they make holy garments for Aaron thy brother and for his sons, for ministering as priests unto me.

8 And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
8 The artistically woven waistband that is on the ephod(d) must be of one piece,(e) according to the same workmanship of gold, of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and of finely spun linen.
8 The skillfully woven band that is on it is to be made like it, that is, of one piece with it, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet material, and fine woven linen.
9 And thou shalt take two onyx stones, - and engrave upon them the names of the sons of Israel:

11 (i)As a jeweler engraves a signet, you shall engrave the two stones according to the names of the sons of Israel; you shall (j)set them in filigree settings of gold.
11 With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.
11 Engrave the two stones with the names of Israel’s sons as a gem cutter engraves a seal. Mount them, surrounded with gold filigree settings.
11 With work like a jeweler engraves on a signet, you are to inscribe the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel, and you are to mount them in settings of gold filigree.
12 And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulderpieces of the ephod, as stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, - so shall Aaron bear their names before Yahweh upon his two shoulders, for a memorial.
12 You shall put the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, as stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, and Aaron shall (I)bear their names before the Lord on his two shoulders (J)for a memorial.
12 And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.
12 Fasten both stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the Israelites. Aaron will carry their names on his two shoulders before the Lord as a reminder.(E)
12 You are to put the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as stones of remembrance representing the sons of Israel, and Aaron is to carry their names into the LORD's presence on his two shoulders as a memorial.
14 and two chains of pure gold, like cord, shalt thou make them, of wreathen work, and thou shalt put the wreathen chains on the ouches.
14 and two chains of pure gold; you shall make them of twisted cordage work, and you shall put the corded chains on the filigree settings.
14 And two chains of pure gold at the ends; of wreathen work shalt thou make them, and fasten the wreathen chains to the ouches.

15 And thou shalt make a breastpiece for giving sentence the work of a skilful weaver, like the work of the ephod, shalt thou make it, of gold, blue, and purple and crimson and fine-twined linen, shalt thou make it.
15 “(L)You shall make a (k)breastpiece of judgment, the work of a skillful workman; like the work of the ephod you shall make it: of gold, of (l)blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen you shall make it.
15 And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.
15 “You(F) are to make an embroidered breastpiece for making decisions.(f) Make it with the same workmanship as the ephod; make it of gold, of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and of finely spun linen.
15 "You are to make a breast piece to be worn by the high priest when he makes legal decisions. It is to be skillfully worked, made like the work of the ephod from gold, blue, purple, and scarlet material, and from fine woven linen.
17 And thou shalt set therein a setting of stones, four rows of stones, - one row - a sardius, a topaz and an emerald, the first row;
17 You shall (o)mount on it four rows of stones; the first row shall be a row of ruby, topaz and emerald;
17 And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.

17 You are to mount on it a setting for four rows of stones. The first row is to contain carnelian, topaz, and emerald;
20 and the fourth row, a Tarshish stone, a sardonyx, and a jasper, - enclosed with gold, shall they be when they are set.
20 And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.

24 Then attach the two gold cords to the two gold rings at the corners of the breastpiece.

25 and the other two ends of the two wreathen chains, shalt thou fasten upon the two ouches, so shalt thou hang them upon the shoulderpieces of the ephod, in the forefront thereof.
25 You shall put the other two ends of the two cords on the two filigree settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, at the front of it.
25 And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains thou shalt fasten in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod before it.
25 Attach the other ends of the two cords to the two filigree settings, and in this way attach them to the ephod’s shoulder pieces in the front.

26 And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastpiece upon the border thereof, which is on the side of the ephod inwards.

27 And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and place them upon the two shoulderpieces of the ephod beneath, on the front of the face thereof, over against its joining, above the curious band of the ephod:
27 You shall make two rings of gold and put them on the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, on the front of it close to the place where it is joined, above the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
27 And two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
27 Make two more gold rings and attach them to the bottom of the ephod’s two shoulder pieces on its front, close to its seam,(o) and above the ephod’s woven waistband.
27 You are to make two gold rings and attach them in front on the lower part of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod close to the place where it's joined, above the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
28 that they may bind the breastpiece by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a cord of blue, so that it may remain upon the curious band of the ephod, and the breastpiece not be removed from of the ephod.
28 They shall bind the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a (r)blue cord, so that it will be on the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastpiece will not come loose from the ephod.
28 And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.
28 The craftsmen are to tie the breastpiece from its rings to the rings of the ephod with a cord of blue yarn, so that the breastpiece is above the ephod’s waistband and does not come loose from the ephod.
28 They are to fasten the rings on the breast piece to the rings on the ephod with a blue cord so it will rest on the skillfully woven band of the ephod and so the breast piece won't come loose from the ephod.
29 So shall Aaron bear the names of the sons of Israel in the breastpiece for giving sentence upon his heart when he goeth into the holy place, - for a memorial before Yahweh continually.
29 Aaron shall carry the names of the sons of Israel in the breastpiece of judgment over his heart when he enters the holy place, for a memorial before the Lord continually.
29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.
29 “Whenever he enters the sanctuary, Aaron is to carry the names of Israel’s sons over his heart on the breastpiece for decisions, as a continual reminder before the Lord.
29 "Aaron is to carry the names of Israel's sons on his heart on the breast piece to be worn by the high priest when he makes legal decisions, that is, whenever he goes into the Holy Place in order to remember them continuously in the LORD's presence.
30 Thus shalt thou place, in the breastpiece for giving sentence, the lights and the perfections, so shall they be upon the heart of Aaron when he goeth in before Yahweh, - so shall Aaron bear the sentence of the sons of Israel, upon his heart before Yahweh continually.
30 (N)You shall put in the breastpiece of judgment the (s)(O)Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be over Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the Lord; and Aaron shall carry the judgment of the sons of Israel over his heart before the Lord continually.
30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.
30 Place the Urim and Thummim(G) in the breastpiece for decisions, so that they will also be over Aaron’s heart whenever he comes before the Lord. Aaron will continually carry the means of decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the Lord.
30 You are to put the Urim and Thummim into the breast piece of judgment, and they are to be on Aaron's heart when he goes into the LORD's presence. He is to carry the breast piece of decision that depicts Israel's sons on his heart in the LORD's presence continuously."
32 and the opening for his head shall be in the midst thereof, - a border, shall there be to the opening thereof round about the work of a weaver, like the opening of a coat of mail, shall there be to it, it must not be rent.
32 There shall be an opening (u)at its top in the middle of it; around its opening there shall be a binding of woven work, like the opening of a coat of mail, so that it will not be torn.
32 And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent.
32 There should be an opening at its top in the center of it. Around the opening, there should be a woven collar with an opening like that of body armor(p) so that it does not tear.
32 There is to be an opening at its top, in the middle, with a woven binding around the opening like the opening of a coat of mail so that it cannot be torn.
33 And thou shalt make upon the skirts thereof pomegranates of blue and purple and crimson, upon the skirts thereof round about - and bells of gold in the midst of them round about:
33 You shall make on its hem pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet material, all around on its hem, and bells of gold between them all around:
33 And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:
33 Make pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn(q) on its lower hem and all around it. Put gold bells between them all the way around,
33 On its hem you are to make blue and purple and scarlet pomegranates, all around the skirt, with gold bells between them all the way around.
34 a bell of gold and a pomegranate, a bell of gold, and a pomegranate, - upon the skirts of the robe, round about.

35 And it shall be upon Aaron, for ministering, - so shall be heard the sound of him - when he goeth into the holy place, before Yahweh, and cometh out, and dieth not.
35 It shall be on Aaron (v)when he ministers; and (w)its tinkling shall be heard when he enters and (x)leaves the holy place before the Lord, so that he will not die.
35 And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not.
35 The robe must be worn by Aaron whenever he ministers, and its sound will be heard when he enters the sanctuary before the Lord and when he exits, so that he does not die.
35 Aaron is to wear the robe when he ministers so its sound may be heard when he enters and leaves the Holy Place in the LORD's presence, so that he won't die.
36 And thou shalt make a burnished plate, of pure gold, - and shalt engrave thereupon, like the engravings of a seal-ring, Holiness to Yahweh.
36 “You shall also make (Q)a plate of pure gold and shall engrave on it, like the engravings of a seal, ‘(R)Holy to the Lord.’

37 And thou shalt put it upon a cord of blue, so shall it be upon the turban, - upon the forefront of the turban, shall it be.
37 You shall (y)fasten it on a (z)blue cord, and it shall be on the turban; it shall be at the front of the turban.
37 And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.
37 Fasten it to a cord of blue yarn so it can be placed on the turban; the medallion is to be on the front of the turban.
37 You are to put it on a blue cord and place it on the turban. It is to be on the front of the turban
38 So shall it be upon the forehead of Aaron, and Aaron shall bear the iniquity of the hallowed things, which the sons of Israel shall hallow, for all their hallowed gift, - and it shall be upon his forehead continually, that there may be acceptance for them before Yahweh.
38 It shall be on Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron shall (aa)(S)take away the iniquity of the holy things which the sons of Israel consecrate, with regard to all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that (T)they may be accepted before the Lord.
38 And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.
38 It will be on Aaron’s forehead so that Aaron may bear the guilt(J) connected with the holy offerings that the Israelites consecrate as all their holy gifts. It is always to be on his forehead, so that they may find acceptance with the Lord.
38 and worn on Aaron's forehead in order to take away any guilt contained in the holy things which the Israelis consecrate as holy gifts. It is to remain on his forehead continuously, so they may be accepted in the LORD's presence.
39 And thou shalt weave, in checker work the tunic of fine linen, and shalt make a turban of fine linen, - and, a girdle, shalt thou make the work of an embroiderer.
39 “You shall weave (U)the tunic of checkered work of fine linen, and shall make a turban of fine linen, and you shall make a sash, the work of a (ab)weaver.

41 And thou shalt clothe therewith Aaron thy brother, and his sons, with him, - and shalt anoint them and install them, and hallow them, so shall they minister as priests unto me.
41 You shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him; and you shall (X)anoint them and (ad)ordain them and consecrate them, that they may serve Me as priests.
41 And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.
41 Put these on your brother Aaron and his sons; then anoint,(L) ordain,(r) and consecrate(M) them, so that they may serve Me as priests.

42 And thou shalt make for them breeches of linen, to cover their unseemliness, from the loins even unto the thighs, shall they be;

43 so shall they be upon Aaron and upon his sons, when they go into the tent of meeting, or when they approach unto the altar, to minister in the holy place, lest they bear iniquity, and die, - a statute age-abiding, to him and to his seed after him.
43 They shall be on Aaron and on his sons when they enter the tent of meeting, or (Z)when they approach the altar to minister in the holy place, so that they do not incur (af)guilt and die. (AA)It shall be a statute forever to him and to his (ag)descendants after him.
43 And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
43 These must be worn by Aaron and his sons whenever they enter the tent of meeting or approach the altar to minister in the sanctuary area, so that they do not incur guilt(O) and die. This is to be a permanent statute(P) for Aaron and for his future descendants.
43 They shall be on Aaron and his sons when they enter the Tent of Meeting or when they approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place so they don't incur guilt and die. This is to be a perpetual ordinance for him and for his descendants after him."
