Instructions For Consecrating Aaron And His Sons

¹¹ You shall slaughter the bull before the Lord at the doorway of the tent of meeting. ¹² You shall take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger; and you shall pour out all the blood at the base of the altar. ¹³ You shall take all the fat that covers the entrails and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and offer them up in smoke on the altar.

Horns of the Altar

Exodus 27:2

You shall make its horns on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it, and you shall overlay it with bronze.

Leviticus 8:15

Next Moses slaughtered it and took the blood and with his finger put some of it around on the horns of the altar, and purified the altar. Then he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it, to make atonement for it.

Leviticus 9:9

Aaron’s sons presented the blood to him; and he dipped his finger in the blood and put some on the horns of the altar, and poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.

Exodus 30:2

Leviticus 4:7

Leviticus 4:34

The priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and all the rest of its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.

Leviticus 5:9

Leviticus 16:14
