The Superiority Of Jesus To Moses

11 Therefore, my Christian brothers, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the Messenger and High Priest whom we profess to follow,

11 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession;

11 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

11 Therefore, holy brothers and companions in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession;

11 Therefore, holy brothers, partners in a heavenly calling, keep your focus on Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.

22 to see how faithful He was to God who appointed Him, just as Moses was in all the house of God.

22 He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.

22 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

55 Moses was faithful as a servant in all God's household, as a testimony to what would be said [in the future].

66 but Christ as a Son set over the house of God was faithful; and we are that house, if we keep up our courage and the joy that hope inspires to the very end.

66 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house--whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

A Serious Warning Against Unbelief

77 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: "If you but hear His voice today,

77 Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE,

77 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

77 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, "Today, if you hear his voice,

88 You must not harden your hearts as they did in provoking me, as on the day in the desert they tested me,

88 DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME, AS IN THE DAY OF TRIAL IN THE WILDERNESS,

88 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

88 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the desert,

88 do not harden your hearts as they did when they provoked me during the time of testing in the wilderness.

99 Where your forefathers found I stood their test, because they saw my works for forty years,

99 WHERE YOUR FATHERS TRIED Me BY TESTING Me, AND SAW MY WORKS FOR FORTY YEARS.

99 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

99 where your fathers tested Me, tried [ Me ], and saw My works

99 There your ancestors tested me,

1010 So I was indignant with that generation, and I said, 'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have never come to know my ways.'

1010 "THEREFORE I WAS ANGRY WITH THIS GENERATION, AND SAID, 'THEY ALWAYS GO ASTRAY IN THEIR HEART, AND THEY DID NOT KNOW MY WAYS';

1010 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

1010 for 40 years. Therefore I was provoked with this generation and said, "They always go astray in their hearts, and they have not known My ways."

1010 even though they had seen my actions for 40 years. That is why I was indignant with that generation and said, "They are always going astray in their hearts, and they have not known my ways.'

1111 So in my anger I took oath, 'They shall not be admitted to my rest!'"

1111 AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, 'THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST.'"

1111 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

1111 So I swore in My anger, "They will not enter My rest."

1111 So in my anger I swore a solemn oath that they would never enter my rest."

1212 See to it, my brothers, that no wicked, unbelieving heart is found in any of you, as shown by your turning away from the ever-living God,

1212 Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.

1212 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

1212 Watch out, brothers, so that there won't be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart that departs from the living God.

1212 See to it, my brothers, that no evil, unbelieving heart is found in any of you, as shown by your turning away from the living God.

1313 but day by day, as long as "Today" shall last, continue to encourage one another, so that not one of you may be hardened by sin's deceiving ways,

1313 But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called "Today," so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

1313 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

1313 But encourage each other daily, while it is still called today , so that none of you is hardened by sin's deception.

1313 Instead, continue to encourage one another every day, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin,

1414 For we have become real sharers in Christ, if we keep firm to the end the faith we had at first,

1414 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end,

1414 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

1414 For we have become companions of the Messiah if we hold firmly until the end the reality that we had at the start.

1414 because we are the Messiah's partners only if we hold on to our original confidence to the end.

1515 and yet the warning continues to be spoken: "If you but hear His voice, you must not harden your hearts as they did in provoking me."

1515 while it is said, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS, AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME."

1515 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

1515 As it is said: Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.

1515 As it is said, "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as they did when they provoked me."

1616 For who was it that heard and yet provoked Him? Was it not all who came out of Egypt led by Moses?

1616 For who provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?

1616 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

1616 For who heard and rebelled? Wasn't it really all who came out of Egypt under Moses?

1616 Now who heard him and provoked him? Was it not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?

1717 With whom was He disgusted forty years? Was it not with those who had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the desert?

1717 And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

1717 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

1717 And with whom was He "provoked for 40 years"? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the desert?

1717 And with whom was he angry for 40 years? Was it not with those who sinned and whose bodies fell dead in the wilderness?

1818 To whom did He take oath that they should not be admitted to His rest, if it was not to those who disobeyed Him?

1818 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient?

1818 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

1818 And to whom did He "swear that they would not enter His rest," if not those who disobeyed?

1818 And to whom did he swear that they would never enter his rest? It was to those who disobeyed him, was it not?

1919 So we see that it was because of their unbelief that they could not be admitted to it.
