Jeremiah 51:7

A Message Concerning Babylon

⁶ Run away from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be killed because of Babylon's sin. I am now taking my revenge. I am punishing it as it deserves. ⁷ Babylon has been a golden cup in the hand of the Lord,
Intoxicating all the earth.
The nations have drunk of her wine;
Therefore the nations are going mad.
⁸ Babylon has suddenly fallen and is destroyed! Mourn over it! Get medicine for its wounds, and maybe it can be healed.

Revelation 14:8

Another angel followed, saying: Babylon the great has fallen. She has fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet. She was adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls. She had a golden cup in her hand. It was full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.

with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

Revelation 18:3

All nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication (immorality). The kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are very rich through the abundance of her luxury.

Isaiah 14:4

You will mock the king of Babylon with this saying: How the tyrant has come to an end! How his attacks have come to an end!

Jeremiah 25:9

so I am going to send for all the families from the north. I will also send for my servant King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, says Jehovah. I will bring the families from the north to attack this land, its people, and all these surrounding nations. I am going to destroy them and turn them into something terrible, something ridiculed, and something permanently ruined.

Jeremiah 25:14-27

Many nations and great kings will make slaves of the people of Babylon. I will pay them back for what they have done.'

A drought will diminish their water supply, and it will dry up. Babylon is a land of idols, statues that will go crazy with fear.

The statue had a head of pure gold, chest and arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of brass.
