Jesus Appears To The Disciples In Galilee

11 After these things Jesus manifested Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and He manifested Himself in this way.

11 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.

11 After this, Jesus revealed Himself again to His disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. He revealed Himself in this way:

11 Later on, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. This is what happened:

11 After this, Jesus let Himself be seen and revealed [Himself] again to the disciples, at the Sea of Tiberias. And He did it in this way:

22 Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together.

22 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.

22 Simon Peter, Thomas (called "Twin"), Nathanael from Cana of Galilee, Zebedee's sons, and two others of His disciples were together.

22 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathaniel from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two of his other disciples were together.

22 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas, called the Twin, and Nathanael from Cana of Galilee, also the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples.

33 Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We will also come with you." They went out and got into the boat; and that night they caught nothing.

33 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

33 "I'm going fishing," Simon Peter said to them. "We're coming with you," they told him. They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

33 Simon Peter told them, "I'm going fishing." They all told him, "We'll go with you, too." So they went out and got into the boat but didn't catch a thing that night.

33 Simon Peter said to them, I am going fishing! They said to him, And we are coming with you! So they went out and got into the boat, and throughout that night they caught nothing.

44 But when the day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

44 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

44 When daybreak came, Jesus stood on the shore. However, the disciples did not know it was Jesus.

44 Just as dawn was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore. The disciples didn't realize it was Jesus.

44 Morning was already breaking when Jesus came to the beach and stood there. However, the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

55 So Jesus said to them, "Children, you do not have any fish, do you?" They answered Him, "No."

55 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.

55 "Men," Jesus called to them, "you don't have any fish, do you?" "No," they answered.

55 Jesus asked them, "Children, you don't have any fish, do you?" They answered him, "No."

55 So Jesus said to them, Boys (children), you do not have any meat (fish), do you? [Have you caught anything to eat along with your bread?] They answered Him, No!

66 And He said to them, "Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find a catch." So they cast, and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish.

66 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

66 "Cast the net on the right side of the boat," He told them, "and you'll find some." So they did, and they were unable to haul it in because of the large number of fish.

66 He told them, "Throw the net on the right hand side of the boat, and you'll catch some." So they threw it out and were unable to haul it in because it was so full of fish.

66 And He said to them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat and you will find [some]. So they cast the net, and now they were not able to haul it in for such a big catch (mass, quantity) of fish [was in it].

77 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord." So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put his outer garment on (for he was stripped for work), and threw himself into the sea.

77 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

77 Therefore the disciple, the one Jesus loved, said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tied his outer garment around him (for he was stripped) and plunged into the sea.

77 That disciple whom Jesus kept loving told Peter, "It's the Lord!" When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put his clothes back on, because he was practically naked, and jumped into the sea.

77 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, It is the Lord! Simon Peter, hearing him say that it was the Lord, put (girded) on his upper garment (his fisherman's coat, his outer tunic) -- "for he was stripped [for work] -- "and sprang into the sea.

88 But the other disciples came in the little boat, for they were not far from the land, but about one hundred yards away, dragging the net full of fish.

88 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.

88 But since they were not far from land (about 100 yards away), the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish.

88 But the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish. They were only about 200 cubits away from the shore.

88 And the other disciples came in the small boat, for they were not far from shore, only some hundred yards away, dragging the net full of fish.

99 So when they got out on the land, they saw a charcoal fire already laid and fish placed on it, and bread.

99 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

99 When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish lying on it, and bread.

99 When they arrived at the shore, they saw a charcoal fire with fish lying on it, and some bread.

99 When they got out on land (the beach), they saw a fire of coals there and fish lying on it [cooking], and bread.

1010 Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish which you have now caught."

1010 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.

1010 "Bring some of the fish you've just caught," Jesus told them.

1010 Jesus told them, "Bring me some of the fish you've just caught."

1010 Jesus said to them, Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.

1111 Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not torn.

1111 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

1111 So Simon Peter got up and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish-153 of them. Even though there were so many, the net was not torn.

1111 So Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish 153 of them. And although there were so many of them, the net was not torn.

1111 So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net to land, full of large fish, 153 of them; and [though] there were so many of them, the net was not torn.

1212 Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the disciples ventured to question Him, "Who are You?" knowing that it was the Lord.

1212 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

1212 "Come and have breakfast," Jesus told them. None of the disciples dared ask Him, "Who are You?" because they knew it was the Lord.

1212 Then Jesus told them, "Come, have breakfast." Now none of the disciples dared to ask him, "Who are you?", because they knew it was the Lord.

1212 Jesus said to them, Come [and] have breakfast. But none of the disciples ventured or dared to ask Him, Who are You? because they [well] knew that it was the Lord.

1313 Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and the fish likewise.

1313 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

1313 Jesus came, took the bread, and gave it to them. He did the same with the fish.

1313 Jesus took the bread, gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.

1313 Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so also [with] the fish.

1414 This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after He was raised from the dead.

1414 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

1414 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to the disciples after He was raised from the dead.

1414 This was now the third time that Jesus revealed himself to the disciples after he had been raised from the dead.

1414 This was now the third time that Jesus revealed Himself (appeared, was manifest) to the disciples after He had risen from the dead.

Peter Is Restored Three Times

1515 So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You " He said to him, "Tend My lambs."

1515 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

1515 When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love , the first 2 times by Jesus (vv. 15-16 ); and phileo , the last time by Jesus (v. 17 ) and all 3 times by Peter (vv. 15-17 ). Peter's threefold confession of love for Jesus corresponds to his earlier threefold denial of Jesus; Jn 18:15-18 , 25-27 . Me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said to Him, "You know that I love You." "Feed My lambs," He told him.

1515 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" Peter told him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus told him, "Feed my lambs."

1515 When they had eaten, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these [others do -- "with reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion, as one loves the Father]? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You [that I have deep, instinctive, personal affection for You, as for a close friend]. He said to him, Feed My lambs.

1616 He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Shepherd My sheep."

1616 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

1616 A second time He asked him, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" "Yes, Lord," he said to Him, "You know that I love You." "Shepherd My sheep," He told him.

1616 Then he asked him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter told him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you."

1616 Again He said to him the second time, Simon, son of John, do you love Me [with reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion, as one loves the Father]? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You [that I have a deep, instinctive, personal affection for You, as for a close friend]. He said to him, Shepherd (tend) My sheep.

1717 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You " Jesus said to him, "Tend My sheep.

1717 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

1717 He asked him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved that He asked him the third time, "Do you love Me?" He said, "Lord, You know everything! You know that I love You." "Feed My sheep," Jesus said.

1717 Jesus told him, "Take care of my sheep." He asked him a third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was deeply hurt that he had asked him a third time, "Do you love me?" So he told him, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you!"

1717 He said to him the third time, Simon, son of John, do you love Me [with a deep, instinctive, personal affection for Me, as for a close friend]? Peter was grieved (was saddened and hurt) that He should ask him the third time, Do you love Me? And he said to Him, Lord, You know everything; You know that I love You [that I have a deep, instinctive, personal affection for You, as for a close friend]. Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep.

1818 "Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to go."

1818 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

1818 "I assure you: When you were young, you would tie your belt and walk wherever you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will tie you and carry you where you don't want to go."

1818 Jesus told him, "Feed my sheep. "Truly, I tell you emphatically, when you were young, you would fasten your belt and go wherever you liked. But when you get old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will fasten your belt and take you where you don't want to go."

1818 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, when you were young you girded yourself [put on your own belt or girdle] and you walked about wherever you pleased to go. But when you grow old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will put a girdle around you and carry you where you do not wish to go.

1919 Now this He said, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me!"

1919 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

1919 He said this to signify by what kind of death he would glorify God. After saying this, He told him, "Follow Me!"

1919 Now he said this to show by what kind of death he would glorify God. After saying this, Jesus told him, "Keep following me."

1919 He said this to indicate by what kind of death Peter would glorify God. And after this, He said to him, Follow Me!

Peter And The Other Disciple Jesus Loved

2020 Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them; the one who also had leaned back on His bosom at the supper and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"

2020 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?

2020 So Peter turned around and saw the disciple Jesus loved following them. [That disciple] was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and asked, "Lord, who is the one that's going to betray You?"

2020 Peter turned around and noticed the disciple whom Jesus kept loving following them. He was the one who had put his head on Jesus' chest at the supper and had asked, "Lord, who is the one who is going to betray you?"

2020 But Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved, following -- "the one who also had leaned back on His breast at the supper and had said, Lord, who is it that is going to betray You?

2121 So Peter seeing him said to Jesus, "Lord, and what about this man?"

2121 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

2121 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, "Lord-what about him?"

2121 When Peter saw him, he said, "Lord, what about him?"

2121 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, Lord, what about this man?

2222 Jesus said to him, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!"

2222 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

2222 "If I want him to remain until I come," Jesus answered, "what is that to you? As for you, follow Me."

2222 Jesus told him, "If it's my will for him to remain until I come back, how does that concern you? You must keep following me!"

2222 Jesus said to him, If I want him to stay (survive, live) until I come, what is that to you? [What concern is it of yours?] You follow Me!

2323 Therefore this saying went out among the brethren that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but only, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?"

2323 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

2323 So this report spread to the brothers that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not tell him that he would not die, but, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?"

2323 So the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple wasn't going to die. Yet Jesus didn't say to Peter that he wasn't going to die, but, "If it's my will for him to remain until I come back, how does that concern you?"

2323 So word went out among the brethren that this disciple was not going to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not going to die, but, If I want him to stay (survive, live) till I come, what is that to you?

A Concluding Word Of Testimony

2424 This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

2424 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

2424 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.

2424 This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and has written them down. We know that his testimony is true.

2424 It is this same disciple who is bearing witness to these things and who has recorded (written) them; and we [well] know that his testimony is true.

2525 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written.

2525 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

2525 And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which, if they were written one by one, I suppose not even the world itself could contain the books that would be written.

2525 Of course, Jesus also did many other things, and I suppose that if every one of them were written down, the world couldn't contain the books that would be written.

2525 And there are also many other things which Jesus did. If they should be all recorded one by one [in detail], I suppose that even the world itself could not contain (have room for) the books that would be written.
