Some Women Accompany Jesus

1 After this Jesus went about, preaching to every city and village, proclaiming the reign of the Messias, attended by his twelve apostles,

1 Soon afterwards, He began going around from one city and village to another, (A)proclaiming and preaching the kingdom of God. The twelve were with Him,

1 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

1 Soon afterward He was traveling from one town and village to another,(A) preaching and telling the good news of the kingdom of God.(B) The Twelve were with Him,

1 After this, Jesus traveled from one city and village to another, preaching and spreading the good news about God's kingdom. The Twelve were with him,

2 and several women, who had been delivered from evil spirits and cured of their diseases: particularly Mary Magdalene, who had been dispossess'd of seven demons:

2 and also (B)some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses: (C)Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,

2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,

2 and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses:(C) Mary, called Magdalene (seven demons had come out(D) of her);

2 as well as some women who had been healed of evil spirits and illnesses: Mary, also called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;

3 Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's high-steward: Susanna, and several others, who assisted him with their fortunes.

3 and Joanna the wife of Chuza, (D)Herod’s (E)steward, and Susanna, and many others who were contributing to their support out of their private means.

3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

3 Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who were supporting them from their possessions.

3 Joanna, the wife of Herod's household manager Chuza; Susanna; and many others. These women continued to support them out of their personal resources.

The Parable Of The Sower

4 A vast number of people being assembled, and crowding to him from all quarters, he thus address'd himself to them by way of parable.

4 (F)When a large crowd was coming together, and those from the various cities were journeying to Him, He spoke by way of a parable:

4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:

4 As a large crowd was gathering, and people were flocking to Him from every town, He said in a parable:(E)

4 Now while a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from every city, he said in a parable:

5 a husbandman went out to sow his corn: and as he was sowing, some fell upon the beaten road, which was crush'd under foot, or devoured by the birds.

5 “The sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell beside the road, and it was trampled under foot and the birds of the (a)air ate it up.

5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

5 “A sower went out to sow his seed. As he was sowing, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the sky ate it up.

5 "A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was sowing, some seeds fell along the path, were trampled on, and birds from the sky ate them up.

6 some fell upon very stony ground, which no sooner sprung up, but it wither'd away, for want of moisture:

6 Other seed fell on rocky soil, and as soon as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture.

6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.

6 Other seed fell on the rock; when it sprang up, it withered, since it lacked moisture.

6 Others fell on stony ground, and as soon as they came up, they dried up because they had no moisture.

7 some fell among thorns; but the thorns over-grew it, and starv'd it.

7 Other seed fell among the thorns; and the thorns grew up with it and choked it out.

7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.

7 Other seed fell among thorns; the thorns sprang up with it and choked it.

7 Others fell among thorn bushes, and the thorn bushes grew with them and choked them.

8 but some of the corn fell into good soil, and grew up, yielding a hundred grains for one. then raising his voice he concluded with these words, he that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

8 Other seed fell into the good soil, and grew up, and produced a crop a hundred times as great.” As He said these things, He would call out, (G)He who has ears to hear, (b)let him hear.”

8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

8 Still other seed fell on good ground; when it sprang up, it produced a crop: 100 times what was sown.”(F) As He said this, He called out, “Anyone who has ears to hear should listen!”(G)

8 But others fell on good soil, and when they came up, they produced 100 times as much as was planted." As he said this, he called out, "Let the person who has ears to hear, listen!"

The Reason For The Parables

9 But his disciples having ask'd him the meaning of this parable;

9 (H)His disciples began questioning Him as to what this parable meant.

9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

9 Then His disciples asked Him, “What does this parable mean?”(H)

9 Then his disciples began to ask him what this parable meant.

10 he answered, the secret circumstances of the divine dispensation may be clearly revealed to you, but to others only in parables, so that they don't observe what they see, nor comprehend what they hear.

10 And He said, (I)To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, so that (J)seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

10 So He said, “The secrets of the kingdom of God have been given for you(I) to know, but to the rest it is in parables, so thatLooking they may not see,and hearing they may not understand.(J)(a)

10 So he said, "You have been given knowledge about the secrets of the kingdom of God. But to others they are given in parables, so that "they might look but not see, and they might listen but not understand.'"

The Parable Of The Sower Interpreted

11 now the meaning of the parable is this: the seed sown signifies the word of God.

11 “Now the parable is this: (K)the seed is the word of God.

11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

11 “This is the meaning of the parable:(b)(K) The seed is the word of God.(L)

11 "Now this is what the parable means. The seed is God's word.

12 by the beaten road is meant, they who only hear: the word, by the lurking wiles of the devil, being hinder'd from taking root in their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

12 Those beside the road are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they will not believe and be saved.

12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

12 The seed along the path are those who have heard and then the Devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.

12 The ones on the path are the people who listen, but then the Devil comes and takes the word away from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.

13 by the stony ground is understood such persons as receive indeed the doctrines they hear, with joy: but for want of resolution, believe only occasionally, and desert when the trial comes.

13 Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; (c)they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away.

13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

13 And the seed on the rock are those who, when they hear, welcome the word with joy. Having no root, these believe for a while and depart in a time of testing.(M)

13 The ones on the stony ground are the people who joyfully welcome the word when they hear it. But since they don't have any roots, they believe for a while, but in a time of testing they fall away.

14 the ground over-run with thorns denotes such as have embraced the doctrine, but are so immerst in the business, enjoyments, and pleasures of life, as not to improve it to any real advantage.

14 The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

14 As for the seed that fell among thorns, these are the ones who, when they have heard, go on their way and are choked with worries, riches, and pleasures of life,(N) and produce no mature fruit.

14 The ones that fell among the thorn bushes are the people who listen, but as they go on their way they are choked by the worries, wealth, and pleasures of life, and their fruit doesn't mature.

15 but by the good ground is meant such persons as have received the doctrine with simplicity and sincerity, abide by it, and practise it with perseverance.

15 But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with (d)perseverance.

15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

15 But the seed in the good ground—these are the ones who,(c) having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring,(O) bear fruit.

15 But the ones on the good soil are the people who hear the word but also hold on to it with good and honest hearts, producing a crop through endurance."

The Parable Of The Lamp

16 Now, no one lights a lamp to hide it under a vessel, or under a bed: but sets it on a stand, to give light to all the company.

16 “Now (L)no one after lighting a lamp covers it over with a container, or puts it under a bed; but he puts it on a lampstand, so that those who come in may see the light.

16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

16 “No one, after lighting a lamp,(P) covers it with a basket or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in may see its light.(Q)

16 "No one lights a lamp and hides it under a bowl or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts it on a lamp stand so that those who come in will see the light.

17 whatever is now obscure, shall hereafter be made clear; whatever is now conceal'd, shall then be publickly known.

17 (M)For nothing is hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light.

17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

17 For nothing is concealed that won’t be revealed, and nothing hidden that won’t be made known and come to light.(R)

17 There is nothing hidden that won't be revealed, and there is nothing secret that won't become known and come to light.

18 improve therefore what you hear: for he that improves what he has, shall have more; but he that does not, shall lose even that, which he thinks he possesses.

18 So take care how you listen; (N)for whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have, even what he (e)thinks he has shall be taken away from him.”

18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

18 Therefore take care how you listen. For whoever has, more will be given to him;(S) and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.”

18 So pay attention to how you listen, because to the one who has something, more will be given. However, from the one who doesn't have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him."

Jesus' Mother And Brothers

19 One day the mother of Jesus, and his brethren came to speak with him, but could not get near by reason of the crowd.

19 (O)And His mother and brothers came to Him, and they were unable to get to Him because of the crowd.

19 Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.

19 Then His mother and brothers(T) came to Him,(U) but they could not meet with Him because of the crowd.

19 His mother and his brothers came to him, but they couldn't get near him because of the crowd.

20 so some of the company said to him, your mother and brethren are waiting without, desiring to see you.

20 And it was reported to Him, “Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, wishing to see You.”

20 And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.

20 He was told, “Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, wanting to see You.”

20 Jesus was told, "Your mother and your brothers are standing outside and want to see you."

21 but he answered them, my mother and brethren are these, who attend to the word of God, and practise it.

21 But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these (P)who hear the word of God and do it.”

21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

21 But He replied to them, “My mother and My brothers are those who hear and do the word of God.”(V)

21 But he answered those people, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear a message from God and heed it."

Calming Of A Storm

22 The same day Jesus went on board a vessel with his disciples, and said to them, let us pass over to the other side of the lake: and so they put off to sea.

22 (Q)Now on one of those days Jesus and His disciples got into a boat, and He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side of (R)the lake.” So they launched out.

22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

22 One day He and His disciples got into a boat,(W) and He told them, “Let’s cross over to the other side of the lake.”(X) So they set out,

22 One day, Jesus and his disciples got into a boat. He told them, "Let's cross to the other side of the lake." So they started out.

23 while they were rowing, Jesus fell asleep: when there blew such a storm of wind upon the lake, as fill'd the boat with water, and endanger'd their lives.

23 But as they were sailing along He fell asleep; and a fierce gale of wind descended on (S)the lake, and they began to be swamped and to be in danger.

23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.

23 and as they were sailing He fell asleep. Then a fierce windstorm came down on the lake; they were being swamped and were in danger.

23 Now as they were sailing, Jesus fell asleep. A violent storm swept over the lake, and they were taking on water and were in great danger.

24 then they came to wake him, crying, master, master, we are sinking. then he rose up, and rebuked the wind, and the waves: and both subside to a calm.

24 They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, “(T)Master, Master, we are perishing!” And He got up and (U)rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and (f)it became calm.

24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

24 They came and woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to die!” Then He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waves. So they ceased, and there was a calm.(Y)

24 So his disciples went to him, woke him up, and kept telling him, "Master! Master! We're going to die!" He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waves. They stopped, and there was calm.

25 but to his disciples he said, where is your faith? while they, seiz'd with fear and admiration, said to one another, who can this man be, that he commands even the winds, and the waves, and they obey?

25 And He said to them, “Where is your faith?” They were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?”

25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

25 He said to them, “Where is your faith?”They were fearful and amazed, asking one another, “Who can this be?(d)(Z) He commands even the winds and the waves, and they obey Him!”

25 Then he asked the disciples, "Where's your faith?" Frightened and amazed, they asked one another, "Who is this man? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him!"

A Demon-Possessed Gerasene Healed

26 Then they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which lies opposite to Galilee.

26 (V)Then they sailed to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee.

26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.

26 Then they sailed to the region of the Gerasenes,(e)(AA) which is opposite Galilee.

26 They landed in the region of the Gerasenes, which is just across the lake from Galilee.

27 when he was landed, there met him a man, who belong'd to the city Gadara, and had been for a long time possessed by demons. he did not wear any cloaths, nor dwell in any house, but among the tombs.

27 And when He came out onto the land, He was met by a man from the city who was possessed with demons; and who had not put on any clothing for a long time, and was not living in a house, but in the tombs.

27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

27 When He got out on land, a demon-possessed man from the town met Him. For a long time he had worn no clothes and did not stay in a house but in the tombs.

27 When Jesus stepped out on the shore, a man from the city met him. This man was controlled by demons and had not worn clothes for a long time. He did not live in a house but in the tombs.

28 upon seeing Jesus, he set up a great cry, fell down before him, and roar'd out, what business have you with me, Jesus son of the most high God? I beseech you torment me not.

28 Seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell before Him, and said in a loud voice, “(g)(W)What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of (X)the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me.”

28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out,(AB) fell down before Him, and said in a loud voice, “What do You have to do with me,(f)(AC) Jesus, You Son of the Most High God?(AD) I beg You, don’t torment me!”

28 When he saw Jesus, he screamed, fell down in front of him, and cried out in a loud voice, "What do you want from me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you not to torture me!"

29 for he had commanded the impure spirit to quit the man, he had so long possessed: who, tho' bound in chains, and fastned with fetters, broke thro' all restraints, and was hurry'd by the demon into the desarts.

29 For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had seized him many times; and he was bound with chains and shackles and kept under guard, and yet he would break his bonds and be driven by the demon into the desert.

29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

29 For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was guarded, bound by chains and shackles, he would snap the restraints and be driven by the demon into deserted places.

29 because Jesus was in the process of ordering the unclean spirit to come out of the man. On many occasions the unclean spirit had seized the man, and though he was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles, he would break the chains and be driven by the demon into deserted places.

30 upon Jesus's saying to him, what is your name? he answer'd, legion, (for many demons were enter'd into him.)

30 And Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “(Y)Legion”; for many demons had entered him.

30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.

30 “What is your name?” Jesus asked him.“Legion,”(AE) he said—because many demons had entered him.

30 Jesus asked the man, "What's your name?"

31 and they entreated him not to condemn them to the abyss.

31 They were imploring Him not to command them to go away into (Z)the abyss.

31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

31 And they begged Him not to banish them to the abyss.(AF)

31 He answered, "Legion," because many demons had gone into him. Then the demons began begging Jesus not to order them to go into the bottomless pit.

32 but there being a numerous herd of swine feeding on the mountain, they desired he would permit them to enter into the swine, which he granted.

32 Now there was a herd of many swine feeding there on the mountain; and the demons implored Him to permit them to enter (h)the swine. And He gave them permission.

32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

32 A large herd of pigs was there, feeding on the hillside. The demons begged Him to permit them to enter the pigs, and He gave them permission.

32 Now a large herd of pigs was grazing there on the hillside. So the demons begged Jesus to let them go into those pigs, and he consented to that.

33 accordingly the demons quitted the man, and enter'd into the swine: immediately the herd ran headlong down a precipice into the lake, and were drowned.

33 And the demons came out of the man and entered the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into (AA)the lake and was drowned.

33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

33 The demons came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and drowned.

33 Then the demons came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down a steep slope into the lake and drowned.

34 the keepers seeing this, ran about and spread it, both in town,

34 When the herdsmen saw what had happened, they ran away and reported it in the city and out in the country.

34 When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.

34 When the men who tended them saw what had happened, they ran off and reported it in the town and in the countryside.

34 Now when those who had been taking care of the pigs saw what had happened, they ran away and reported it in the city and in the countryside.

35 and country, whence numbers went to see the fact: being come to Jesus, they found the man, who had been dispossess'd of the demons, sitting at Jesus's feet, cloathed, and in his right senses: at which they were much surpriz'd,

35 The people went out to see what had happened; and they came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting down (AB)at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind; and they became frightened.

35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

35 Then people went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man the demons had departed from, sitting at Jesus’ feet,(AG) dressed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

35 So the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out sitting at Jesus' feet, dressed and in his right mind, they were frightened.

36 being inform'd by those that were present, by what means the demoniac had been cured.

36 Those who had seen it reported to them how the man who was (AC)demon-possessed had been (i)made well.

36 They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.

36 Meanwhile, the eyewitnesses reported to them how the demon-possessed man was delivered.(AH)

36 The people who had seen it told them how the demon-possessed man had been healed.

37 then the Gadarenes of the adjacent parts unanimously desired him to leave their country: for they were greatly allarm'd. so he embark'd to cross over the lake.

37 And all the people of the country of the Gerasenes and the surrounding district asked Him to leave them, for they were gripped with great fear; and He got into a boat and returned.

37 Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.

37 Then all the people of the Gerasene region(g) asked Him to leave them,(AI) because they were gripped by great fear. So getting into the boat, He returned.

37 Then all the people from the region surrounding the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were terrified. So he got into a boat and started back.

38 now the man, who had been dispossess'd, begg'd to take him with him. but Jesus dismissed him,

38 (AD)But the man from whom the demons had gone out was begging Him that he might (j)accompany Him; but He sent him away, saying,

38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,

38 The man from whom the demons had departed kept begging Him to be with Him. But He sent him away and said,

38 Now the man from whom the demons had gone out kept begging Jesus to let him go with him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,

39 saying, go home, and relate, what great things God hath done for you. whereupon he departed, and published through all the city, what a wonderful deliverance Jesus had wrought for him.

39 “Return to your house and describe what great things God has done for you.” So he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

39 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.

39 “Go back to your home, and tell all that God has done for you.” And off he went, proclaiming throughout the town all that Jesus had done for him.

39 "Go home and tell what God has done for you." So the man left and kept proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.

A Woman Healed And A Daughter Raised

40 Jesus upon his return was received by a great number of people, who expected him.

40 (AE)And as Jesus returned, the (k)people welcomed Him, for they had all been waiting for Him.

40 And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.

40 When Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed Him,(AJ) for they were all expecting Him.(AK)

40 When Jesus came back, the crowd welcomed him, because everyone was expecting him.

41 Some time after, a person nam'd Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, came to Jesus, and upon his knees desired him to come to his house:

41 (AF)And there came a man named Jairus, and he was an (l)(AG)official of the synagogue; and he fell at Jesus’ feet, and began to implore Him to come to his house;

41 And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:

41 Just then, a man named Jairus came. He was a leader of the synagogue.(AL) He fell down at Jesus’ feet and pleaded with Him to come to his house,

41 Just then a synagogue leader by the name of Jairus arrived. He fell at Jesus' feet and kept begging him to come to his home,

42 for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, who lay a dying. as he was on the way, the crowd press'd after him,

42 for he had an (m)only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying. But as He went, the crowds were pressing against Him.

42 For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.

42 because he had an only daughter(AM) about 12 years old, and she was at death’s door.(h)While He was going, the crowds were nearly crushing Him.(AN)

42 because his only daughter, who was about twelve years old, was dying. While Jesus was on his way, the crowds continued to press in on him.

43 and among the rest a woman, who had been troubled with an hemorrhage twelve years, having consum'd her whole fortune upon physicians, who could none of them cure her; she getting behind him,

43 And a woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years, and could not be healed by anyone,

43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

43 A woman suffering from bleeding(AO) for 12 years,(AP) who had spent all she had on doctors(i) yet could not be healed by any,
