Herod Kills John The Baptist

⁹ The king was distressed, but because of his oaths, and because of his dinner guests, he ordered it to be given her. ¹⁰ He sent and had John beheaded in the prison. ¹¹ His head was brought on a platter and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother [Herodias].

2 Chronicles 36:16

But they kept mocking the messengers of God and despising His words and scoffing at His prophets until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, until there was no remedy or healing.

Mark 6:27-29

So the king immediately sent for an executioner and commanded him to bring back John’s head. And he went and had John beheaded in the prison,
