Herod Kills John The Baptist

⁸ Prompted by her mother, she said: Give me John the Baptist's head on a platter. ⁹ Although he was grieved, the king commanded it to be given because of his oaths, and because of his dinner guests. ¹⁰ He gave the order to behead John in prison.

If her father forbids her to fulfill the vow when he hears about it, she is not required to keep it. Jehovah will forgive her, because her father refused to let her keep it.
