The Beatitudes

¹¹ "Happy are ye, when they shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. ¹²  Rejoice, and exult; because great is your reward in Heaven, for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you. ¹³ "Ye are the salt of the earth; but, if the salt become tasteless, with what shall it be salted? It is henceforth good for nothing, except, when cast without, to be trodden under foot by men.

Luke 6:23

"Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy; for, behold, your reward is great in Heaven; for, after the same manner, were their fathers wont to do to the prophets.

1 Thessalonians 2:15
