But some of you have been puffed up through getting the idea that I am not coming to Corinth.

I was glad about the arrival of Stephanus, Fortunatus, and Achaicus because they have supplied the fellowship with you that I lacked. For they refreshed my spirit and yours. So then, recognize people like this.

For we do not write you anything other than what you can read and also understand. But I hope that you will understand completely


But thanks be to God who put in the heart of Titus the same devotion I have for you, because he not only accepted our request, but since he was very eager, he is coming to you of his own accord.

I urged Titus to visit you and I sent our brother along with him. Titus did not take advantage of you, did he? Did we not conduct ourselves in the same spirit? Did we not behave in the same way?

Erastus stayed in Corinth. Trophimus I left ill in Miletus.


Now if Christ is being preached as raised from the dead, how can some of you say there is no resurrection of the dead?


Do you not have houses so that you can eat and drink? Or are you trying to show contempt for the church of God by shaming those who have nothing? What should I say to you? Should I praise you? I will not praise you for this!


Now I mean this, that each of you is saying, "I am with Paul," or "I am with Apollos," or "I am with Cephas," or "I am with Christ."

For whenever someone says, "I am with Paul," or "I am with Apollos," are you not merely human?



and through your help to go on into Macedonia and then from Macedonia to come back to you and be helped on our way into Judea by you.


Now with regard to the issues you wrote about: "It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman."


While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul went through the inland regions and came to Ephesus. He found some disciples there





Crispus, the president of the synagogue, believed in the Lord together with his entire household, and many of the Corinthians who heard about it believed and were baptized.

I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,

Then Paul left the synagogue and went to the house of a person named Titius Justus, a Gentile who worshiped God, whose house was next door to the synagogue.


After this Paul departed from Athens and went to Corinth. There he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all the Jews to depart from Rome. Paul approached them, and because he worked at the same trade, he stayed with them and worked with them (for they were tentmakers by trade).

Now, brothers and sisters, you know about the household of Stephanus, that as the first converts of Achaia, they devoted themselves to ministry for the saints. I urge you

(I also baptized the household of Stephanus. Otherwise, I do not remember whether I baptized anyone else.)
