For I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up the sons of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle. Now therefore thus thou shall say to my servant David, Thus says LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, that thou should be prince over my people, over Israel. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men, but my loving kindness shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul whom I put away before thee.
