Assignment Of Duties In The Temple

²³ the sons of Levi, ancestral heads, were written in the book of Chronicles, - even until the days of Johanan, son of Eliashib. ²⁴ And, the chiefs of the Levites, Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise - to give thanks, by the commandment of David the man of God, - ward joined to ward. ²⁵ Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were watchers, doorkeepers of the ward, in the storehouses of the gates.
