Nehemiah 7:2

Opposition To The Completed Wall

¹ Now when we had builded the wall I hanged on the doors; and the porters, singers and Levites were appointed. ² And I commanded my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace at Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God more than did many others, ³ and I said unto them, "Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they are yet standing in the watch, the doors shall be shut and barred." And there were certain citizens of Jerusalem appointed to be watchmen every one in his watch, and about his house.
