Report About Canaan
25 So they took their journey, and came in unto Moses and unto Aaron and unto all the assembly of the sons of Israel into the wilderness of Paran, towards Kadesh, - and brought back word - unto them and unto all the assembly, and showed them the fruit of the land.
25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
25 When they returned from spying out the land, at the end of forty days,
25 At the end of 40 days, they all returned from exploring the land,
26 And they recounted unto him, and said, We entered into the land whither thou didst send us, and surely it doth flow with milk and honey, and, this, is the fruit thereof.
26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
26 they proceeded to come to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the sons of Israel (l)in the wilderness of Paran, at (P)Kadesh; and they brought back word to them and to all the congregation and showed them the fruit of the land.
26 The men went back to Moses, Aaron, and the entire Israelite community in the Wilderness of Paran at Kadesh. They brought back a report for them and the whole community, and they showed them the fruit of the land.(N)
26 came in to Moses and Aaron, and delivered their report to the entire congregation of Israel in the Wilderness of Paran at Kadesh. They brought back their report to the entire congregation and showed them the fruit of the land.
27 Nevertheless surely mighty, are the people that dwell in the land, - and, the cities, walled in, exceeding great, moreover also, the descendants of the
27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
27 Thus they told him, and said, “We went in to the land where you sent us; and (Q)it certainly does flow with milk and honey, and (R)this is its fruit.
27 They reported to Moses: “We went into the land where you sent us. Indeed it is flowing with milk and honey,(O) and here is some of its fruit.
27 "We arrived at the place where you've sent us," they reported, "and it certainly does flow with milk and honey. Furthermore, this is its fruit,
28 Anak, saw we there. Amalek, dwelleth in the land of the South; And, the Hittite, and the Jebusite and the Amorite, dwell in the mountain And the Canaanite, dwelleth by the sea, and by the side of the Jordan.
28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
28 Nevertheless, (S)the people who live in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; and moreover, we saw (T)the (m)descendants of Anak there.
28 However, the people living in the land are strong, and the cities are large and fortified.(P) We also saw the descendants of Anak(Q) there.
28 except that the people who have settled in the land are strong, and their cities are greatly fortified. We also saw the descendants of Anak.
29 And Caleb stilled the people unto Moses, - and said unto them - Let us go straight up, and possess it, for we shall, surely prevail, against it.
29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
29 Amalek is living in the land of (U)the Negev and the Hittites and the Jebusites and (V)the Amorites are living in the hill country, and (W)the Canaanites are living by the sea and by the side of the Jordan.”
29 The Amalekites(R) are living in the land of the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites, and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live by the sea and along the Jordan.”
29 Amalek lives throughout the Negev, while the Hittites, Jebusites, and Amorites live in the hill country. The Canaanites live by the sea and on the bank of the Jordan."
30 But the men who went up with him said, We cannot go up against the people, - for stronger, are they than we.
30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
30 Then Caleb quieted the people (n)before Moses and said, “We should by all means go up and take possession of it, for we will surely overcome it.”
30 Then Caleb(S) quieted the people in the presence of Moses and said, “We must go up and take possession of the land because we can certainly conquer it!”
30 Caleb silenced the people on Moses' behalf and responded, "Let's go up and take control, because we can definitely conquer it."
31 So they sent forth a rumour of the land which they had spied out, among the sons of Israel, saying, - As touching the land through which we passed to spy it out, it is, land that eateth up them who dwell therein, And all the people that we saw in the midst thereof, were men of great stature.
31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “(X)We are not able to go up against the people, for they are too strong for us.”
31 But the men who had gone up with him responded, “We can’t go up against the people because they are stronger than we are!”
31 "We can't attack those people," the men who were with him said, "because they're too strong compared to us."
32 And, there, saw we the giants, sons of Anak descended of the giants, - And we were in our own eyes, as grass-hoppers, And, so, were we in their eyes.
32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
32 So they gave out to the sons of Israel (Y)a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone, in spying it out, is (Z)a land that devours its (o)inhabitants; and (AA)all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size.
32 So they gave a negative report to the Israelites about the land they had scouted: “The land we passed through to explore is one that devours its inhabitants, and all the people we saw in it are men of great size.
32 So they put out this false report to the Israelis about the land that they had explored: "The land that we've explored is one that devours its inhabitants. All the people whom we observed were giants.
