Joshua Succeeds Moses

¹⁷ and can command them in battle. Do not allow your congregation to be like sheep without a shepherd. ¹⁸ So the Lord said to Moses, “Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him; ¹⁹ Have him stand in front of Eleazar the priest and the entire congregation, and there before them all proclaim him as your successor.

Deuteronomy 34:9

Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. The sons of Israel listened to him and did as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

Judges 11:29
