But Abram said to the king of Sodom: I have sworn to Jehovah, God Most High, maker of heaven and earth:

Abraham said to the senior servant of his household who was in charge of all that he owned: Take a solemn oath.

When the time drew near for him to die, he called for his son Joseph and said to him: Place your hand under my thighs and make a solemn vow that you will not bury me in Egypt.

But Israel crossed his hands and reached out. He put his right hand on Ephraim's head, although Ephraim was the younger son. He put his left hand on Manasseh's head, although Manasseh was older.

As long as Moses held up his hands, Israel would win, but as soon as he put his hands down, the Amalekites would start to win.

Dress your brother Aaron and his sons in these clothes and anoint them, ordain them, and set them apart to serve me as priests.

Besides these, the citizens of Gibeah gathered seven hundred specially chosen men who were left-handed. Every one of them could sling a stone at a strand of hair and never miss.

King Jehoshaphat asked: Do we have a prophet here to consult Jehovah? An officer of King Joram's forces answered: Elisha son of Shaphat is here who used to pour water on the hands of Elijah.

Ezra came from Babylon. He was a scribe (copyist) and an expert in the Law of Moses which Jehovah, the God of Israel, had given. The king was moved by Jehovah his God to give him whatever he requested.

He will deliver even those who are guilty. They will escape because of the cleanness of your hands.

Jehovah rewarded me because of my righteousness, because my hands are clean. He paid me back.

He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up (turned) to falsehood and has not sworn deceitfully.

I will wash my hands in innocence. I will walk around your altar, O Jehovah.

Hear the voice of my prayer when I call to you for help, when I lift my hands [in prayer] toward your most holy place.

Appoint the evil one to oppose him. Let an accuser stand at his right hand.

He stands at the right hand of the needy people to save them from those who would condemn them to death.

([Psalm of David]) Jehovah said to my Lord: Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.

My son, if you serve as surety for your friend and you give your pledge to him,

Hand in hand united, the wicked shall not be unpunished; but the descendants of the righteous will be delivered.

Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep.

Shout (wail) (howl) for the Day of Jehovah is near! It will come as destruction from the Almighty.

One person will say: I belong to Jehovah. Another person will call himself by the name of Jacob. Still another will write on his hand: Jehovah's. And he will take the name Israel.'

I will give to those within my Temple and its walls a memorial and a name that is better than sons and daughters. I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.

On the fifth day of the sixth month in the sixth year, I was sitting in my home. Judah's older men were sitting in front of me. The power of the Lord Jehovah came over me.

The hand of Jehovah was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of Jehovah and set me down in the middle of the valley. The valley was full of bones.

He showed me Joshua the high priest. Joshua was standing before the angel of Jehovah, and Satan was standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

Jesus told them to go into the city and tell a certain man: The Teacher's time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.

Pilate saw that he could do nothing. The people were ready to cause much trouble. He took water and washed his hands in front of the people. He said: The blood of this man is not on my hands. You are responsible.

Soon the Son of man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.

I give them eternal life. They will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father has given them to me. He is greater than all and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yes rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

Let no one trouble me. I bear the marks of Jesus branded on my body.

I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I also saw the people who were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image. They had not received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands. They lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
