A Vow Of Integrity

1 A Psalm of David. Kindness and judgment I sing, To Thee, O Jehovah, I sing praise.

1 {A Psalm of David.} I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.

1 A Psalm of David.I will (A)sing of lovingkindness and (a)justice,To You, O Lord, I will sing praises.

1 A Davidic psalm.I will sing of faithful love and justice;I will sing praise to You, Lord.(A)

1 I will sing about gracious love and justice; LORD, I will sing praise to you.

2 I act wisely in a perfect way, When dost Thou come in unto me? I walk habitually in the integrity of my heart, In the midst of my house.

2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

2 I will (b)(B)give heed to the (c)blameless way.When will You come to me?I will walk within my house in the (d)(C)integrity of my heart.

2 I will pay attention to the way of integrity.When will You come to me?I will live with a heart of integrity in my house.(B)

2 I will pay attention to living a life of integrity when will I attain it? I will live with integrity of heart in my house.

3 I set not before mine eyes a worthless thing, The work of those turning aside I have hated, It adhereth not to me.

3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

3 I will set no (D)worthless thing before my eyes;I hate the (e)work of those who (E)fall away;It shall not fasten its grip on me.

3 I will not set anything worthless before my eyes.I hate the practice of transgression;it will not cling to me.(C)

3 I will not even think about doing anything lawless; I hate to do evil deeds; I will have none of it.

4 A perverse heart turneth aside from me, Wickedness I know not.

4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

4 A (F)perverse heart shall depart from me;I will know no evil.

4 A devious heart will be far from me;I will not be involved with(a) evil.(D)

4 I will not allow anyone with a perverted mind in my presence; I will not be involved with anything evil.

5 Whoso slandereth in secret his neighbour, Him I cut off, The high of eyes and proud of heart, him I endure not.

5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

5 Whoever secretly (G)slanders his neighbor, him I will (f)destroy;No one who has a (H)haughty look and an arrogant heart will I endure.

5 I will destroy anyonewho secretly slanders his neighbor;(E)I cannot tolerate anyonewith haughty eyes or an arrogant heart.(F)

5 I will destroy the one who secretly slanders a friend. I will not allow the proud and haughty to prevail.

6 Mine eyes are on the faithful of the land, To dwell with me, Whoso is walking in a perfect way, he serveth me.

6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

6 My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me;He who walks in a (g)(I)blameless way is the one who will minister to me.

6 My eyes favor the faithful of the landso that they may sit down with me.The one who follows the way of integritymay serve me.(G)

6 My eyes are looking at the faithful of the land, so they may live with me; The one who lives a life of integrity will serve me.

7 He dwelleth not in my house who is working deceit, Whoso is speaking lies Is not established before mine eyes.

7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

7 He who (J)practices deceit shall not dwell within my house;He who speaks falsehood (K)shall not (h)maintain his position before me.

7 No one who acts deceitfullywill live in my palace;no one who tells lieswill remain in my presence.(b)(H)

7 A deceitful person will not sit in my house; A liar will not remain in my presence.

8 At morning I cut off all the wicked of the land, To cut off from the city of Jehovah All the workers of iniquity!

8 I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

8 (L)Every morning I will (i)(M)destroy all the wicked of the land,So as to (N)cut off from the (O)city of the Lord all those who do iniquity.

8 Every morning I will destroyall the wicked of the land,eliminating all evildoers from the Lord’s city.(I)

8 Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, eliminating everyone who practices iniquity from the LORD's city. A prayer by the afflicted man who is overwhelmed and talks about his troubles with the LORD.
