Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
For when Gentiles who do not have
the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves,
the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had
arrogance, abundant food and careless ease, but she did not help the poor and needy.
Nevertheless I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.
I say to you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.
And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes,
“ You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”
overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent,
In the law
on the day when,
according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.
Now we know that whatever the
Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God;
the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation.
What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “ You shall not covet.”
what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,
Cursed is he who does not confirm the words of this law by doing them.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
2 Corinthians 3:7
But if the
ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was,
nevertheless knowing that
a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
For as many as are of the works of
the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “ Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.”
For whoever keeps the whole
law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.
And I saw the dead, the
great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.
