'Mighty Waters' in the Bible

Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.

He sent from a high position [and] took me; he drew me from mighty waters.

And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors thou threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.

He shall send down from on high to fetch me, and shall take me out of many waters. {TYNDALE: He sent from on high and fetched me, and plucked me out of mighty waters.}

The voice of Yahweh, is upon the waters, - The GOD of glory, hath thundered, Yahweh, is upon mighty waters;

In the sea, was thy way, And, thy path, in the mighty waters, And, thy footprints, could not be known:

Than the voices of many mighty waters, Breakers of a sea, mighty on high is Jehovah,

Men who go down to the sea, in ships, doing business through mighty waters;

Put forth thy hands from on high: - Snatch me away and rescue me out of mighty waters, out of the hand of the sons of the alien,

Mighty waters cannot extinguish love;rivers cannot sweep it away.If a man were to give all his wealth for love,it would be utterly scorned.

So look, the sovereign master is bringing up against them the turbulent and mighty waters of the Euphrates River -- the king of Assyria and all his majestic power. It will reach flood stage and overflow its banks.

Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!

Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, In the day when he descended into hades, I caused a mourning. I covered over him the roaring deep, And restrained the currents thereof And stayed were the mighty waters, So caused I gloom over him unto Lebanon, And all the trees of the field for him were covered with a shroud.

and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice sounded like the roar of mighty waters, and the earth shone with His glory.

Thou didst tread the sea with thy horses, The heap of mighty waters.
