"Not every one who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he that does the will of My Father in Heaven.

for every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened.

"Beware of false prophets, who, indeed, come to you in sheep's clothing, but within are ravening wolves.

"All things, therefore, whatsoever ye wish that men should do to you, so do ye also to them; for this is the law and the prophets.

"Every one, therefore, who hears these words of Mine, and does them, shall be likened to a prudent man, who, indeed, built his house upon the rock;

"And every one who hears these words of Mine, and does them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, who, indeed, built his house upon the sand:

Or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent?

From their fruits ye shall recognize them. Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?

Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by Thy name? and by Thy name cast out demons, and by Thy name do many mighty works,'"

"Give not that which is holy to the dogs; neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them down with their feet; and, turning, rend you.

"And why do you behold the mote that is in your brother's eye, but consider not the beam in your own eye?

because narrow is the gate, and straitened the way that leads to life, and few there are who find it!

If, therefore, ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in Heaven give good things to those asking Him?

A good tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a worthless tree bear good fruit.

Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire.

So every good tree bears good fruit, but the worthless tree bears evil fruit.

And it came to pass that, when Jesus ended these words, the multitudes were astonished at His teaching;

Hypocrite! Cast out first the beam out of your own eye; and then you will see clearly to cast out the mote out of your brother's eye.
