For Moses hath had from ancient times those that preach him in every city, and is still read in the synagogues every sabbath-day.
And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and according to his custom He went into the synagogue on the sabbath-day, and stood up to read.

And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read what David did, when he himself was hungry and those that were with him? how he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shew-bread, and gave also to his attendants, which it is not lawful for any to eat but the priests.
And He answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that He, who made them at first, made them male and female, and said, For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother,
And Jesus saith unto them, Yes, have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast procured praise?
And have ye not read this scripture, "The stone, which the builders refused, is become the head of the corner: this was from the Lord, and it is marvellous in our eyes."
And He looked upon them and said, What then is this, which is written, The stone which the builders refused, is become the head of the corner?
But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read what is spoken to you by God,
When therefore ye shall see the desolating abomination, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing at the holy place, (let him, that readeth, attend) then let those in Judea flee to the mountains:

Wherefore, beloved, seeing ye expect these things, give diligence to be found of Him in peace, spotless and blameless; and account the long-suffering of our Lord salvation, as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, hath written unto you; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things: in which are some things hard to be understood, which the illiterate and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
These things have I written unto you concerning those who would seduce you.
Beloved, believe not every Spirit, but try the spirits, whether they be of God: for many false prophets are gone out into the world.
