To "kiss the Son" in Ps 2:12 is to adore and worship him. (See Da 3:5-6.) The word itself does not occur in Scripture.

In the sense of divine worship, it is due to God only, and was rejected by angels and saints when offered to them (Lu 4:8; Ac 10:25-26; Re 19:10; 22:9).
