Then did I beat them as fine as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.

My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue clings to my jaws; and you have brought me to the dust of death.

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? shall it declare your truth?

For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our body cleaves unto the earth.

They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

He rained meat also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls as the sand of the sea:

For your servants take pleasure in her stones, and favor the dust thereof.

For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.

You hide your face, they are troubled: you take away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap;
