For behold, they lie in wait for my soul; strong ones are gathered against me: not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah.

I have hated them that observe lying vanities; and as for me, I have confided in Jehovah.

Let the lying lips become dumb, which speak insolently against the righteous in pride and contempt.

Thou hast loved evil rather than good, lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

Because of the sin of their mouth, the word of their lips, let them even be taken in their pride; and because of cursing and lying which they speak.

For the mouth of the wicked man and the mouth of deceit are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue,

Jehovah, deliver my soul from the lying lip, from the deceitful tongue.

Thou searchest out my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways;

He lieth in wait secretly, like a lion in his thicket; he lieth in wait to catch the afflicted: he doth catch the afflicted, drawing him into his net.

Wait for Jehovah; be strong and let thy heart take courage: yea, wait for Jehovah.

I wait for Jehovah; my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
