And the east side you shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by the Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And this is the east side.

And the side chambers became wider as they ascended from story to story, corresponding to the enlargement of the offset from story to story round about the house; on the side of the house a stairway led upward, and thus one went up from the lowest story to the top story through the middle story.

And a portion shall be for the prince on the one side and on the other side of the district of the holy portion, and of the possession of the city, bordering the district of the holy portion, and bordering the possession of the city, from the west side westward, and from the east side eastward: and the length shall correspond to one of the portions, from the west border unto the east border.
