and he was there in the wilderness forty days, and was tempted of Satan, and was with wild beasts. And the angels ministered unto him.

And he called them unto him, and in similitudes said unto them, "How can Satan drive out Satan?

So if Satan make insurrection against himself, and be divided, he cannot continue, but is it an end.

And they that are by the wayside, where the word is sown, are they to whom as soon as they have heard it, cometh immediately Satan and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

Then he turned about, and looked on his disciples, and rebuked Peter saying, "Go after me Satan. For thou savourest not the things of God but the things of men."
