And he was there in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan. And he was with the wild beasts. And the heavenly agents served him.

And having summoned them, he said to them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?

And if Satan has rise up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end.

And these are those by the path where the word is sown. And whenever they may hear, straightaway Satan comes, and takes away the word that has been sown in their hearts.

But he, having turned around, and having looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Go thee behind me, Satan, because thou think not the things of God, but the things of men.
