But Paul's sister's son, having heard of the lying in wait, came and entered into the fortress and reported it to Paul.

And according to Paul's custom he went in among them, and on three sabbaths reasoned with them from the scriptures,

A commotion therefore having taken place, and no small discussion on the part of Paul and Barnabas against them, they arranged that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others from amongst them, should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.

And Agrippa said to Paul, It is permitted thee to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretching out his hand answered in his defence:

Is the Christ divided? has Paul been crucified for you? or have ye been baptised unto the name of Paul?

for love's sake I rather exhort, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now also prisoner of Jesus Christ.
