and delivered him from all his troubles, and allowed him to win favor and to show wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and so he appointed Joseph governor of Egypt and of his whole household.

On their second visit Joseph made himself known to his brothers, and thus Joseph's race was revealed to Pharaoh.

When he was exposed, Pharaoh's daughter adopted him and brought him up as her own son. Thus

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "I have raised you to your position for this very purpose of displaying my power in dealing with you, of announcing my name all over the earth."

By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as a son of Pharaoh's daughter,
