And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

And it was in the first month in the second year, on the first of the month, the tabernacle was reared up.

And they gathered all the congregation on the first day of the second month. And they declared their pedigrees according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their heads.

And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

And on the second day you shall offer twelve young bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without spot;

And the name of his first-born was Joel, and the name of his second was Abiah, judges in Beer-sheba.

And the three oldest sons of Jesse went out, and followed Saul to the battle. And the names of his three sons that went to the battle were Eliab the first-born; and his second, Abinadab; and the third Shammah.

And Jesse fathered his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,

And these were the sons of David, who were born to him in Hebron. The first-born, Amnon, of Ahinoam of Jezreel. The second, Daniel, of Abigail of Carmel.

And the sons of Josiah: Johanan the first-born, Jehoiakim the second, Zedekiah the third, Shallum the fourth.

And Benjamin fathered Bela his first-born, Ashbel the second, and Aharah the third,

And the sons of Eshek his brother: Ulam his first-born; Jehush, the second; and Eliphelet, the third.

Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

of the sons of Hebron, Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

Of the sons of Uzziel, Michah the first, and Jesiah the second.

Now the first lot came out to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,

And the first lot came out for Asaph to Joseph; the second was to Gedaliah, with his brothers and sons, twelve;

And the sons of Meshelemiah: Zechariah the first-born, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

And the sons of Obed-edom: Shemaiah the first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth,

And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.

And four faces were to each one. The first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, the Word of Jehovah came by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high Priest, saying,

Red horses were in the first chariot; and in the second chariot black horses;
