And Cain lay with his wife, which conceived and bare Enoch. And he was building a city and called the name of it after the name of his son, Enoch.

And Enoch begat Irad. And Irad begat Mehujael. And Mehujael begat Methusael. And Methusael begat Lamech.

And Jared lived a hundred and sixty two years, and begat Enoch:

and Jared lived, after he begat Enoch, eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

And Enoch lived sixty five years, and begat Methuselah.

And Enoch walked with God, after he had begot Methuselah, three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty five years,

and then Enoch lived a godly life, and was no more seen - for God took him away.

By faith was Enoch translated that he should not see death; neither was he found, for God had taken him away. Before he was taken away, he was reported of that he had pleased God.
