BEHOLD, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God! therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it is not yet evident what we shall be: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him; because we shall see him as he is. And every one who hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. read more.
Every one who committeth sin, committeth also a transgression of the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested, that he might take away our sins; and in him there is no sin. Every one who abideth in him, doth not sin; every one who sinneth hath not seen him, nor known him.

Every one that transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God: he that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, this man holdeth both the Father and the Son.
