We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing the work of your faith and labour and charity and of waiting with the hope of our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father, being certain, beloved brethren, that you are chosen of God.

as ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father with his children,







Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas; this woman was full of good works and alms-deeds which she did.

for I was hungry, and ye gave me food; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came unto me.


Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my mercies that I have done for the house of my God and for its wards.

a woman came unto him having an alabaster box of very precious ointment and poured it on his head as he sat at the table. But when his disciples saw it, they became indignant, saying, To what purpose is this waste?

But Jesus, understanding this, said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she has wrought a good work upon me.










and whatsoever we ask, we receive of him because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

And Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all the time that Jehoiada, the priest, instructed him.

Thou shalt not eat it that it may go well with thee and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.


make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for the ages of the ages. Amen.

And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD that it may be well with thee and that thou may enter in and inherit the good land which the LORD swore unto thy fathers

For this is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Saviour,
