Wherefore of these men which have companied with us - all the time that the Lord Jesus went out and in among us, beginning at the baptism of John unto that same day that he was taken up from us - must one be ordained to bear witness with us of his resurrection."

And we are witnesses of all things which he did in the land of the Jews and at Jerusalem: whom they slew, and hung on tree. Him God raised up the third day, and showed him openly, not to all the people, but unto us witnesses chosen before of God, which ate and drank with him, after he arose from death.

and he was seen many days of them, which came with him from Galilee to Jerusalem which are his witnesses unto the people.

This voice we heard when it came from heaven, being with him in the holy mount.

That which was from the beginning, declare we unto you; which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life. For the life appeared: and we have seen, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the father, and appeared unto us. That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye may have fellowship with us, and that our fellowship may be with the father, and his son Jesus Christ.

And after six days, Jesus took Peter, James, and John and led them up into a high mountain out of the way alone, and he was transfigured before them.

For we followed not deceitful fables when we opened unto you the power, and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but with our eyes we saw his majesty: Even then, verily, when he received of God the father honour and glory, and when there came such a voice to him from that excellent glory. "This is my dear beloved son, in whom I have delight" - This voice we heard when it came from heaven, being with him in the holy mount.

When he was gone out, Jesus said, "Now is the son of man glorified. And God is glorified by him. If God be glorified by him, God shall also glorify him in himself: and shall straightway glorify him.

These words spake Jesus and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour is come glorify thy son that thy son may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. This is life eternal: that they might know thee, that only very God, and whom thou hast sent, Jesus Christ. read more.
I have glorified thee on the earth. I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now glorify me, thou father, with thine own self, with the glory which I had with thee yer the world was. "I have declared thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy sayings. Now have they known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me, are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me, and they have received them, and know surely that I came out from thee: and do believe that thou didst send me. I pray for them, and I pray not for the world: but for them which thou hast given me, for they are thine, and all mine are thine, and thine are mine, and I am glorified in them. And now am I no more in the world, but they are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy father, keep in thine own name them which thou hast given me, that they may be one as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name. Those that thou gavest me, have I kept, and none of them is lost, but that lost child: that the scripture might be fulfilled. Now come I to thee, and these words speak I in the world, that they might have my joy full in them. I have given them thy words, and the world hath hated them: because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I desire not that thou shouldest take them out of the world: but that thou keep them from evil. They are not of the world, as I am not of the world. "Sanctify them with thy truth. Thy saying is truth. As thou didst sent me into the world, even so have I sent them into the world; And for their sakes sanctify I myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. I pray not for them alone: but for them also which shall believe on me through their preaching, that they all may be one, as thou father art in me, and I in thee; that they may be also one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And that glory that thou gavest me, I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one. I am in them, and thou art in me: that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. "Father, I will that they, which thou hast given me, be with me where I am: that they may see my glory which thou hast given me. For thou lovedest me before the making of the world.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his son Jesus, whom ye delivered and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had judged him to be loosed:

Forasmuch as ye know how that ye were not redeemed with corruptible gold and silver from your vain conversation, which ye received by the traditions of the fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb undefiled, and without spot, which was ordained before the world was made: but was declared in the last times for your sakes. read more.
Which, by his means, have believed on God that raised him from death, and glorified him, that your faith and hope might be in God.

And after six days Jesus took Peter and James and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain out of the way, and was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his clothes were as white as the light. And behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking with him. read more.
Then answered Peter, and said to Jesus, "Master here is good being for us. If thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah."

And after six days, Jesus took Peter, James, and John and led them up into a high mountain out of the way alone, and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment did shine, and was made very white, even as snow: so white as no fuller can make upon the earth. And there appeared unto them Elijah with Moses: and they talked with Jesus. read more.
And Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Master, here is good being for us, let us make three tabernacles: one for thee, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." And wist not what he said, for they were afraid.

And it followed about an eight days after those sayings, that he took Peter, James, and John, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was changed, and his garment was white and shone. And behold, two men talked with him, and they were Moses and Elijah, read more.
which appeared gloriously, and spake of his departing, which he should end at Jerusalem. Peter, and they that were with him, were heavy with sleep. And when they woke, they saw his glory, and two men standing with him. And it chanced, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, "Master, it is good being here for us. Let us make three tabernacles: one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah." And wist not what he said.

Then answered Peter, and said to Jesus, "Master here is good being for us. If thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah." While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud shadowed them. And behold, there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is my dear son, in whom I delight; hear him."

"Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you with miracles and wonders, and signs which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves know:

because that all men should honour the son, even as they honour the father. He that honoureth not the son, the same honoureth not the father which hath sent him. Verily, verily I say unto you, He that heareth my words, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life: and shall not come into damnation, but is escaped from death unto life. Verily, verily I say unto you, the time shall come, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the son of God. And they that hear, shall live. read more.
For as the father hath life in himself, so likewise hath he given to the son to have life in himself. And hath given him power also to judge in that he is the son of man. Marvel not at this: that the hour shall come, in which all that are in the graves, shall hear his voice, and shall come forth: They that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; And they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. I can of mine own self do nothing at all. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not mine own will: But the will of the father which hath sent me. "If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. There is another that beareth witness of me. And I am sure that the witness which he beareth of me is true. Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth: but I receive not the record of man. Nevertheless, these things I say, that ye might be safe. He was a burning, and a shining light; and ye would for a season have rejoiced in his light. But I have greater witness than the witness of John. For the works which the father hath given me to finish: the same works that I do: bear witness of me, that the father sent me. And the father himself, which hath sent me, beareth witness of me. Ye have not heard his voice at any time; Nor yet have seen his shape. Thereto, his words have ye not abiding in you: For whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

The Pharisees said unto him, "Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true." Jesus answered and said unto them, "Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came and whither I go. But ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. Ye judge after the flesh. I judge no man. read more.
And though I judge, yet is my judgment true. For I am not alone: but I and the father that sent me. It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. I am one that bear witness of myself, and the father that sent me beareth witness of me."

Jesus answered them, "I told you and ye believe not: The works that I do in my father's name, they bear witness of me: but ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep. As I said unto you, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. read more.
And I give unto them eternal life: and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My father which gave them me, is greater than all men; and no man is able to take them out of my father's hand. And I and my father are one." Then the Jews again took up stones, to stone him withal. Jesus answered them, "Many good works have I showed you from my father: for which of them will ye stone me?" The Jews answered him saying, "For thy good works' sake we stone thee not: but for thy blasphemy, and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God." Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I have say ye are gods?' If he called them gods unto whom the word of God was spoken - and the scripture cannot be broken - say ye then to him, whom the father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, 'Thou blasphemest, because I said I am the son of God?' If I do not the works of my father, believe me not. But if I do: though ye believe not me, yet believe the works, that ye may know and believe that the father is in me, and I in him."

And Jesus answered them saying, "The hour is come that the son of man must be glorified. Verily, verily I say unto you, except the wheat corn fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone. If it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall destroy it: And he that hateth his life in this world, shall keep it unto life eternal. read more.
If any man minister unto me, let him follow me: and where I am, there shall also my minister be. And if any man minister unto me, him will my father honour. "Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say, 'Father deliver me from this hour?' But therefore came I unto this hour. Father, glorify thy name." Then came there a voice from heaven, "I have glorified it, and will glorify it again." Then said the people that stood by and heard, "It thundereth." Others said, "An angel spake to him." Jesus answered and said, "This voice came not because of me: but for your sakes.

Who is it that overcometh the world: but he which believeth that Jesus is the son of God? This Jesus Christ is he that came by water and blood, not by water only: but by water and blood. And it is the spirit that beareth witness, because the spirit is truth. read more.
For there are three that bear record: the spirit, and water, and blood: and these three are one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater. For this is the witness of God, that God hath born of his son.
