Wherefore of these men which have companied with us - all the time that the Lord Jesus went out and in among us, beginning at the baptism of John unto that same day that he was taken up from us - must one be ordained to bear witness with us of his resurrection."

And we are witnesses of all things which he did in the land of the Jews and at Jerusalem: whom they slew, and hung on tree. Him God raised up the third day, and showed him openly, not to all the people, but unto us witnesses chosen before of God, which ate and drank with him, after he arose from death.

and he was seen many days of them, which came with him from Galilee to Jerusalem which are his witnesses unto the people.

This voice we heard when it came from heaven, being with him in the holy mount.

That which was from the beginning, declare we unto you; which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life. For the life appeared: and we have seen, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the father, and appeared unto us. That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye may have fellowship with us, and that our fellowship may be with the father, and his son Jesus Christ.

These twelve did Jesus send, and commanded them, saying, "Go not into the ways that lead to the Gentiles, and in to the cities of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Go and preach, saying that the kingdom of heaven is at hand. read more.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out the devils: Freely ye have received, freely give again.

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him. But some of them doubted. And Jesus came, and spake unto them, saying, "All power is given unto me in heaven, and in earth. read more.
Go therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and the son and the holy ghost; teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I commanded you. And lo, I am with you always even until the end of the world."

And he called the twelve, and began to send them, two and two, and gave them power over unclean spirits. And commanded them, that they should take nothing unto their Journey, save a rod only: Neither scrip, neither bread, neither money in their purses: but should be shod with sandals. And that they should not put on two coats. read more.
And he said unto them, "Wheresoever ye enter into a house, there abide till ye depart thence. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust that is under your feet, for a witness unto them. I say verily unto you, it shall be easier for Sodom and Gomorra, at the day of judgment, than for that city." And they went out and preached, that they should repent: and they cast out many devils. And they anointed many that were sick with oil and healed them.

After that he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat: and cast in their teeth their unbelief, and hardness of heart: because they believed not them which had seen him after his resurrection. And he said unto them, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the glad tidings to all creatures: He that believeth and is baptised, shall be saved: But he that believeth not, shall be damned. read more.
And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name they shall cast out devils, and shall speak with new tongues, and shall kill serpents. And if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay their hands on the sick, and they shall recover." So then when the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received into heaven, and is set down on the righthand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere. And the Lord wrought with them; And confirmed the word with miracles that followed.

Then called he the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and that they might heal diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to cure the sick. And he said to them, "Take no thing to succor you by the way: neither staff, nor scrip, neither bread neither money, neither have two coats. read more.
And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet, for a testimony against them." And they went out, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing everywhere.

After these things, the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them, two and two, before him into every city, and place, whither he himself would come. And he said unto them, "The harvest is great: but the laborers are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest, to send forth laborers into his harvest. Go your ways. Behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. read more.
Bear no wallet, neither scrip, nor shoes, and salute no man by the way. Into whatsoever house ye enter in, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon him, if not, it shall return to you again. And in the same house tarry still, eating and drinking such as they have. For the laborer is worthy of his reward. Go not from house to house: and into whatsoever city ye enter, if they receive you, eat such things as are set before you, and heal the sick that are there, and say unto them, 'The kingdom of God is come nigh upon you.' "But into whatsoever city ye shall enter, if they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even the very dust, which cleaveth on us of your city, we wipe off against you: Notwithstanding, mark this, that the kingdom of God was come nigh upon you. Yea and I say unto you: that it shall be easier in that day, for Sodom than for that city.

And he said unto them, "These are the words, which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you: that all must be fulfilled which were written of me in the law of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalms." Then opened he their wits, that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them, "Thus is it written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise again from death the third day. read more.
And that repentance, and remission of sins, should be preached in his name among all nations. And must begin at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And behold, I will send the promise of my father upon you. But tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Either were ye baptised in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptised none of you, but Crispus and Gaius, read more.
lest any should say that I in mine own name had baptised. I baptised also the house of Stephanas. Furthermore know I not whether I baptised any man of you or no. For Christ sent me not to baptise, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should have been made of none effect.

Because ye are sons, God hath sent the spirit of his son into our hearts, which crieth "Abba, father." Wherefore now art thou not a servant, but a son. If thou be the son, thou art also the heir of God through Christ.

O LORD, how manifold are thy works! Right wisely hast thou made them all; yea, the earth is full of thy riches. When thou lettest thy breath go forth, they shall be made; and thou shalt renew the face of the earth.

These things have I said unto you because ye should not be offended. They shall excommunicate you: yea the time shall come, that whosoever killeth you, will think that he doth God true service. And such things will they do unto you, because they have not known the father, neither yet me. read more.

Jesus said unto her, "Touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my father. But go to my brethren and say unto them, I ascend unto my father, and your father: to my God and your God."

And no man ascendeth up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, that is to say, the son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lift up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the son of man be lift up,

Before the feast of Easter, when Jesus knew that his hour was come, that he should depart out of this world unto the father; When he loved his which were in the world, unto the end he loved them; And when supper was ended, after that, the devil had put in the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him. Unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, "He is gone up on high, and hath led captivity captive, and hath given gifts unto men." And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of a honeycomb. And he took it, and ate it before them. The same day at night, which was the morrow after the Sabbath day, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled together for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace be with you."
