And behold, a certain woman in the city, a sinner, knowing that he was reclining in the house of the Pharisee, brought a vase of ointment, and standing behind, by his feet, weeping, washed his feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head; and she kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. Tell me, therefore, which of them will love him most? Simon answered and said, I suppose the one to whom he gave most. And he said to him, You have judged rightly. And turning to the woman, he said to Simon, Do you see this woman? I came into your house; you gave me no water for my feet; but she has wet my feet with tears, and wiped them with her hairs. You gave me no kiss; but she, from the time that I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet. You anointed not my head with oil; but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore, I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she has loved much; but he to whom little is forgiven, loves little. And he said to her, Your sins are forgiven.

But they hearing, and being convicted by their consciences, went out, one by one, beginning with the oldest, even to the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. And Jesus rising up and seeing no one but the woman, said to her, Woman, where are those your accusers? Has no man condemned you? And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn you; go, and sin no more.
